Many things in our life are made of plastic, and there are many colors. These colors are all dyed. What are the dyeing methods of plastic?

  1. Dry mix coloring:

  Principle: with the help of rotary mixing, the resins are rubbed against each other to produce high friction heat, and the surfactants (dispersants) make the coloring pigments firmly adhere to the resin surface.

  2. Extrusion granulation coloring method:

  Extrusion granulation is to mix the natural color particles and the colorant evenly, add them to the extruder for plasticization and even mixing, and finally extrude the cooling and pelletizing particles to get the required colored particles.

  Single screw extruder or twin-screw extruder can be used for extrusion granulation. Single screw extruder has simple structure, small investment, low production efficiency and poor mixing and dispersion effect compared with twin-screw extruder.

  3. Color Masterbatch method:

  Color Masterbatch, also known as pigment (dye) concentrate, is an aggregate made by uniformly loading super constant pigment (dye) into resin. It is mainly composed of pigment, carrier and dispersant.

  The manufacturing process of color masterbatch is basically the same as that of extrusion granulation. The key is to solve the problems of dispersion of good color materials in carrier plastics, compatibility of color masterbatch and natural color materials, and prevent the color materials from setting after diluting with natural color materials.
