RPS （polystyrene plastic） includes styrene and its copolymers. The specific varieties include ordinary polystyrene （GPPS） and high impact polystyrene （HIPS）。 General grade polystyrene has the advantages of bright, light weight, transparency, good fluidity, good processability, easy coloring, good dimensional stability and low price. It can be processed into various parts by injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, foaming, thermoforming, bonding, coating, welding, machining, printing and other methods, especially suitable for injection molding.
Main performance:
a. Mechanical properties: high strength, fatigue resistance, dimensional stability, small creep;
b. Heat aging resistance: outdoor long-term aging is good;
c. Solvent resistance: no stress cracking;
d. Electrical performance: excellent insulation performance;
e. Molding processability: ordinary equipment injection molding or extrusion.
Main applications:
a. Electronic appliances: connector, switch socket, household appliances;
b. Automobile: corner grid, engine heat vent cover, endoscope brace, wiper bracket, control system valve and various electrical connectors, etc;
c. Mechanical equipment: belt drive shaft, electronic computer cover, mercury lamp cover, electric iron cover, baking machine parts and a large number of gears, cams, buttons, electronic watch shell, camera and other parts.
